Tempus Learning Manager

Learning Manager is the industry standard platform developed by Tempus to provide your school with the security and reliability required to successfully deliver ICT based learning.  Learning Manager has evolved over 9 years and is available for use in all educational environments, from early years through to Post 16.

Implemented upon core Microsoft server technologies Learning Manager is compatible with core network technologies such as WiFi.  Main system features include:

User Management Module
This module incorporates the tools necessary to manage the creation and maintenance of user accounts.  There is simple interface helps with the creation of pupil accounts.  There is no need to manually enter their user details; we can import them from your management system.  As the users are created, the system allocates the necessary access rights automatically.
Managed Desktop Schemes
With our desktop schemes there is no need to worry about what a pupil sees once they logon!  Learning Manager ensures that pupils only access the applications and icons that you want them to.  Learning Manager is flexible, allowing for the creation of multiple desktop schemes to cater for different year groups and capabilities. Desktop schemes are secured and cannot be altered by the user – no more missing icons at the end of the lesson!!
Shared and Home Areas
Learning Manager supports multiple shared areas for use by pupils and teachers.  Utilising the shared areas, resources can be prepared and made available to users with ease.  Learning Manager also incorporates personalised ‘home areas’, a secure network folder for each user.  Where younger children are concerned Learning Manager is able to support a shared, class based home area, offering access to all students in the group.
Student Logon Schemes
Catering for students of all age ranges and abilities, we are able to customise our system to simplify the logon process.  Students can logon with a class based sign in or individual logon, it’s your choice.
Remote Management
Learning Manager incorporates remote desktop management, enabling you to administer your server and network control applications from any PC on the network.  Administrators are able to:
  • Manage users accounts and passwords
  • Control printer queues
  • Manage Print Manager Plus (where installed)
  • Take control of other PCs
  • Make modifications to desktop settings and security
  • Roll out applications (where Symantec Ghost Solution Suite is installed)
